Increase in Compensation for family carers
The State Council of Freiburg has decided to increase the flat-rate compensation for carers to 35 Swiss Francs per day, effective from January 1, 2024.
In the Canton of Freiburg, the compensation is tax-free and does not need to be declared as income in the tax return.
Another proposal is currently examining the possibility of combining the flat-rate compensation with a salary for basic care provided by home care organizations.
